DIY driftwood takes time, but it will prevent tons of money. Some small items value nicely over $20. Also, the soak methodology (minus salt) will work for retailer bought driftwood. Store purchased driftwood is cleaned and has not been soaked. This may increasingly result in tannin’s being leaked into your tank.
