The first thing to check is that your curtain pole is the right size for the window over which you are planning to install it; if it’s too small you won’t be able to draw the curtains across the whole window, whereas if it’s too big, it will look strange and out of proportion. Once you’re sure your curtain pole is the right size, you can go about putting it up. For this you’ll need a stepladder, a drill, an electrical stud finder, a pen (or pencil), and a tape measure. When somebody has a house warming it is nice to turn up with a house warming gift, particularly if it is their first home.  Buying a new home can be tough and then you have the problem of trying to furnish it and deck it out with all the items for your kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and then be able to afford to buy all the necessary food.  You could make up a gift basket with items for a specific room, like a basket full of bathroom products, or give them a big gift hamper full of pantry staples, like flour, sugar, salt, spices and a good olive oil.
