There are a number of benefits to installing garage doors, one of the biggest benefits is that they offer increased security to your home and garage. Modern doors also have features which offer increased comfort such as built-in lights which switch on every time you open the door and computer controlled systems which mean the garage doors will open automatically for you. What types of garage doors are available?

There’s a large selection of garage doors available, and a variety of styles and systems to compliment most types of home. The three main systems available are the screw-drive system which operates by a lifting mechanism which moves along a steel rod and mounts on the garage ceiling. The chain drive system which uses a chain to move the door along a pair of tracks, this system is quite noisy but is often the most affordable. The third system is a computer-controlled system which is becoming increasingly popular. This system doesn’t require any chains and the unit sits directly above the door, this is the ideal system if you have limited garage space available. These systems are available in a variety of styles from up and over, side hung and insu-glide garage doors, it all depends on your personal taste and what style you think will best suit your garage and the overall look of your house.

The rooms that I recommended to use hardwood floors are living room, guest room balcony and any room that you want natural looking and feeling warmth. Some hardwood floors may be susceptible to extreme arid conditions in their solid format, checking and splitting can occur. In cases like this I suggest using engineered hardwoods as an alternative.
