What types of garage doors are available?
There’s a large selection of garage doors available, and a variety of styles and systems to compliment most types of home. The three main systems available are the screw-drive system which operates by a lifting mechanism which moves along a steel rod and mounts on the garage ceiling. The chain drive system which uses a chain to move the door along a pair of tracks, this system is quite noisy but is often the most affordable. The third system is a computer-controlled system which is becoming increasingly popular. This system doesn’t require any chains and the unit sits directly above the door, this is the ideal system if you have limited garage space available.
